Banks is the Managing Shareholder of Schoenbaum, Curphy & Scanlan. In addition to his practice of law, he has been active in San Antonio representing non-profit organizations such as the San Antonio Conservation Society, the San Antonio Museum of Art, and the San Antonio River Foundation. Banks represented the Voelcker Fund in its sale of 310 acres of land to the City of San Antonio which has become Voelcker Park.
